Well, It's been almost three years since Gail & I headed off on an extended caravan trip.
2006 saw us travel overseas on the trip of a lifetime to "Alaska & Beyond", while 2007 had us doing a few trips of short duration to places such as Bretti Reserve near Glouster, then Jindabyne for the annual CWA conference followed by a short caravan break to Bendeela in Kangaroo Valley with the Hunter junior family. These trips were in addition to two stays at Boambee Bay Resort - Sawtell.
2008 is well under way already and our plan for this year involves the caravan again. Our intention is to take the van to Tallebudgera Creek for a week or two to allow Gail to atend the CWA conference being held at Tweed Heads in early May. From there we wend our way to Townsville, arriving by the end of May in time for Kevin to attend the annual Ulysses Club AGM and gathering. Then four or five days on Magnetic Island following the Ulysses event, staying at a timeshare resort.
From there on we will be "freewheeling" our way to Cairns for a few weeks stay, then travel outback Queensland, and ultimately Darwin in the NT where we hope to catch up with caravanning friends from Victoria.
During the duration of our travels, estimated to be up to four months, we will be posting regular "updates" to this Blog. So make a note of this web page address; http://2008wanderings.blogspot.com/ and stay tuned to keep up with our travels.
